Your Arrival and Ground Transportation
Our Arrival and Ground Transportation page describes how you can travel from your point of
entry into the San Francisco Bay Area to your first night's stay in San Rafael, CA and the
Reception in San Anselmo, CA.
Near the bottom of this page, we provide a general itinerary for the
first evening, and state our policy concerning the first night of stay.  Please note that the general
itinerary for the first evening applies to our 5-day adventure tours, and may not be applicable to our
2-day weekend adventures.

Flying into San Francisco International Airport
Many of our guests fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO).  If you are flying into SFO,
you will need to take the
Marin Airporter bus to the San Rafael Transit Center at 850 Tamalpais Street
in San Rafael, CA.
Please click on the Marin Airporter links in this paragraph to familiarize yourself
with the schedule, boarding location, and rates for their service.

Flying into Oakland International Airport
Some of our guests fly into Oakland International Airport (OAK).  If you are flying into OAK, you will
need to take the
Marin Door-to-Door shuttle either to your first night's stay or to the Reception in San
Anselmo.  This will depend upon your hour of arrival.  Please click on the
Marin Door-to-Door links
in this paragraph to familiarize yourself with the reservation policy, boarding location, and rates for
their service.

Driving into the San Francisco Bay Area
From time to time, guests either get dropped-off at or drive to the Reception and assembly area.  We
are located at 30 Cypress Avenue in San Anselmo, CA  94960.  You may use
Yahoo! Maps if you
need directions to our location.  If you would like to leave your vehicle near here during your tour (or
have other questions), please
Contact Us well in advance so that we may prepare a parking area for
you.

Arriving by Amtrak Train
A few of our guests prefer historic, yet comfortable Amtrak rail travel in order to arrive into the SF
Bay Area.  If this is your preference, please disembark
Amtrak at its Emeryville Station (EMY), which
is located at 5885 Horton St. in Emeryville, CA.  From
EMY, you will need to take Marin
Door-to-Door either to your first night's stay or to the Reception in San Anselmo.  Please click on the
Marin Door-to-Door links in this paragraph to familiarize yourself with the reservation policy, boarding
location, and rates for their service.

Arriving by Greyhound Bus
Occasionally, some guests arrive into the SF Bay Area via Greyhound.  Your point of arrival, in this
case, is the San Rafael Transit Center at 850 Tamalpais St. in San Rafael, CA.

Getting from the San Rafael Transit Center to the Inn & Reception
If you have flown into SFO and taken the Marin Airporter bus or have taken Greyhound Lines, then
you will arrive into the San Rafael-San Anselmo area at the San Rafael Transit Center
.  If you confirm
your arrival with us well in advance, we can meet you at the San Rafael Transit Center and take you
to the inn.  The Passenger Loading Zone is located less than 50 yards to the southwest from where
the Marin Airporter and Greyhound buses arrive and depart.  It is just 20 yards of the north from the
Tamalpais Ave. and 2nd St. intersection in San Rafael.  Please ask the attendants for directions if
needed.  However, if we are returning from another tour that afternoon or you arrive after 7PM PST
on the orientation evening, then we may not be available to meet you.  Therefore, you may have to
take one of the following local taxi services to the Reception & Orientation at 30 Cypress Ave. in San
Anselmo, CA  94960:

Belaire Cab of San Rafael (415) 456-1313
I M Taxi  (415) 258-8112
North Bay Cooperative Taxi  (415) 258-2800
Radio Cab (415) 485-1234
Southern Marin Taxi  (415) 383-0640
Yellow Cab (415) 457-8294

The Taxi Loading Zone is located just 25 yards to the east from where the Marin Airporter and
Greyhound buses arrive and depart.  In fact, it is just across the street from where you will
disembark.  Please ask the attendants for directions if needed.  During weekday business hours, a
number of taxis will probably be available and waiting for passenger pick-up.  However, if you are
arriving at the San Rafael Transit Center in the evening or on a weekend day, you may want to call
one of the taxi services above prior to your arrival to arrange a pick-up.

Getting from OAK or EMY to the Inn & Reception
If you have flown into OAK or have taken Amtrak to its EMY Station, then you will arrive into the San
Rafael-San Anselmo area by taking the
Marin Door-to-Door shuttle.  If you board the shuttle prior to
5PM PST, you will probably want to go to the inn prior to the reception.  Please remember to click on
the
Marin Door-to-Door link to book your reservation with them ahead of time.  As soon as we have
the minimum number of guests for a given tour, we will provide you the precise address of the inn in
San Rafael.  Generally around 7PM, we come by the inn to take our guests to the Reception &
Orientation in San Rafael.  If you board the shuttle after 5PM PST, you will probably want to go
directly to the Reception & Orientation at 30 Cypress Ave. in San Anselmo  94960.

Arriving Late to or Departing Early from an Adventure Tour
If you plan on arriving one or more days late to a Wild West Cycling adventure, please notify us in
advance.  By doing this, we can confirm our location upon your arrival with you and determine how
you can meet up with the group.  Similarly, please notify us in advance if you plan to depart one or
more days early from an adventure tour.  This way, we can try to accommodate your early departure
from the group.

Final Morning Prior to Your Departure from the San Rafael/San Anselmo Area
For those that are flying back home from SFO or are returning home via Greyhound Lines, you will
need to begin your travels at the San Rafael Transit Center.  If we are not too busy with another tour,
we might be able to drive you from the inn to the Transit Center.  Otherwise, you will have to contact
one of the local taxi services, whose phone numbers are shown above.

If you will be flying out from
OAK or taking Amtrak to return home, you should contact and reserve
shuttle service with
Marin Door-to-Door.
