Getting from the San Rafael Transit Center to the Inn & Reception If you have flown into SFO and taken the Marin Airporter bus or have taken Greyhound Lines, then you will arrive into the San Rafael-San Anselmo area at the San Rafael Transit Center. If you confirm your arrival with us well in advance, we can meet you at the San Rafael Transit Center and take you to the inn. The Passenger Loading Zone is located less than 50 yards to the southwest from where the Marin Airporter and Greyhound buses arrive and depart. It is just 20 yards of the north from the Tamalpais Ave. and 2nd St. intersection in San Rafael. Please ask the attendants for directions if needed. However, if we are returning from another tour that afternoon or you arrive after 7PM PST on the orientation evening, then we may not be available to meet you. Therefore, you may have to take one of the following local taxi services to the Reception & Orientation at 30 Cypress Ave. in San Anselmo, CA 94960:
Belaire Cab of San Rafael (415) 456-1313 I M Taxi (415) 258-8112 North Bay Cooperative Taxi (415) 258-2800 Radio Cab (415) 485-1234 Southern Marin Taxi (415) 383-0640 Yellow Cab (415) 457-8294
The Taxi Loading Zone is located just 25 yards to the east from where the Marin Airporter and Greyhound buses arrive and depart. In fact, it is just across the street from where you will disembark. Please ask the attendants for directions if needed. During weekday business hours, a number of taxis will probably be available and waiting for passenger pick-up. However, if you are arriving at the San Rafael Transit Center in the evening or on a weekend day, you may want to call one of the taxi services above prior to your arrival to arrange a pick-up.
Getting from OAK or EMY to the Inn & Reception If you have flown into OAK or have taken Amtrak to its EMY Station, then you will arrive into the San Rafael-San Anselmo area by taking the Marin Door-to-Door shuttle. If you board the shuttle prior to 5PM PST, you will probably want to go to the inn prior to the reception. Please remember to click on the Marin Door-to-Door link to book your reservation with them ahead of time. As soon as we have the minimum number of guests for a given tour, we will provide you the precise address of the inn in San Rafael. Generally around 7PM, we come by the inn to take our guests to the Reception & Orientation in San Rafael. If you board the shuttle after 5PM PST, you will probably want to go directly to the Reception & Orientation at 30 Cypress Ave. in San Anselmo 94960.
Arriving Late to or Departing Early from an Adventure Tour If you plan on arriving one or more days late to a Wild West Cycling adventure, please notify us in advance. Final Morning Prior to Your Departure from the San Rafael/San Anselmo Area For those that are flying back home from SFO or are returning home via Greyhound Lines, you will need to begin your travels at the San Rafael Transit Center. If we are not too busy with another tour, we might be able to drive you from the inn to the Transit Center. Otherwise, you will have to contact one of the local taxi services, whose phone numbers are shown above.
If you will be flying out from OAK or taking Amtrak to return home, you should contact and reserve shuttle service with Marin Door-to-Door.
