| Wild West Cycling Adventures presents again Pick the Podium! Fantasy Cycling, a free internet cycling game that enables you to participate in each of the Grand Tours by entering your team of 9 pro cyclists. The Grand Tours - the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France, and the Vuelta d'Espania - should offer the most open, competitive, and exciting stage racing for some time, especially with the recent retirement and suspension of some strong General Classification (GC) riders and sprinters. Note - After your team's entry has been confirmed, you may make a non-obligatory donation of $1 or more to maintain and support Pick the Podium! Fantasy Cycling. Pick the Podium! Objective and Description Your objectives of Pick the Podium! are to create a team of 9 cyclists and select 1 pro team who you believe will be on the Final Podium, the King of the Mountains (KoM) Champion, the Sprints Champion, and the Fastest Team at the end of the Tour. Your team must include 4 GC contenders, 2 KoM riders, 2 Sprinters, and a Wild Card Rider who should be a contender in one or more of the Competitions (below) and/or a potential stage winner. | Top Finisher Awards The Pick the Podium! awards, based upon the number of entries and cumulative points won, will be as follows: Pick the Podium! Champion - Small (Webcor), Medium (Performance), Large (Wild West Cycling) or Extra-Large (WordPerfect) cycling jersey; a $100 or $40 Rebate for one of our 2007-2008 five-day or two-day tours, respectively; and a Livestrong Bracelet. Pick the Podium! Runner-Up - a plastic Water Bottle; a $50 or $20 Rebate for one of our 2007-2008 five-day or two-day tours, respectively; and a Livestrong Bracelet. Pick the Podium! Third Place - a $25 or $10 Rebate for one of our 2007-2008 five-day or two-day tours, respectively; and a Livestrong Bracelet. Prize Pool Depth - PTP 3rd Place if only 2 to 3 entries; PTP Runner-Up and 3rd Place if 4 to 5 entries; all Awards if 6+ entries. Our 2008 Schedule will be similar to our 2007 Schedule, yet include some additional two-day, weekend tours. Pick the Podium! Podium to be F. Landis as Tour Champion, C. Evans as Runner-Up,
L. Leipheimer as 3rd Place; forecasted M. Rasmussen to be KoM;
chose T. Boonen to be the Sprints Champion; selected T. Hushovd
as your Wild Card; and picked Discovery to be the Fastest Team.
During the Tour, M. Rasmussen wins 1 stage (10 pts.) and wears the
KoM jersey for 4 days (8 pts.). T. Hushovd wins 2 stages (20 pts.),
wears the Yellow jersey for 2 days (8 pts.), and the Green jersey for
1 day (2 pts.). T. Boonen wears Yellow for 4 days (16 pts.) and
Green for 1 day (2 pts.) F. Landis wins 1 stage (10 pts.) and wears
Yellow for 3 days (12 pts.). In the Team Competition, Discovery
leads the Fastest Team competition for 7 days (7 pts.). At the
Tour's conclusion, you would have also received 150 pts. for F.
